This is the first project in my MA in Design for Communication. Based on the RSA Students Design Award, the objective was to propose an improvement for an existing problem that involves medicines in Sub-Saharan Africa and develop the chosen idea while also creating a visual identity for it.
The chosen problem to focus on was counterfeit medicines because of the shocking information found during the first stage of research. The solution is the use of a numeric code and a graphic symbol in a scratch-off sticker, which will be displayed on medicines and will allow people to authenticate their products through free SMS messages. This has the objective of making the medicines harder to counterfeit as well as making people feel safe about the medicines they are taking.
